那些年我们遇到的SHA 人
上周五，苏州工业园区教育代表团局长和校长一行来到South Hills Academy 进行访问，并看望了景城修学团的学生与老师。
见到来自故乡的亲人们，孩子格外开心。
领导和校长们关切地询问修学团在美期间的学习和生活。孩子们说，在南麓学校的学习与生活非常有趣，不仅英语水平得到了提高，还参与到了美国学校生活的方方面面，想到还有两周就要回国已经开始有些依依不舍。
修学团的孩子们也在自己的周记里写下了自己的心声。一起来看看孩子们怎么说：
My school in the US is SHA. It is not big but very beautiful. There are many beautiful and colourful posters on the wall.
There is one class in each grade. And there are only 15 students in each class. The students here are very friendly. When I need a pencil, they will lend it to me. I also have a friend here. Her name is Elaine. Elaine is kind. On the first day, she welcomed us warmly and introduced herself to us. I like PE lessons, because we can play many ball games. I like Art lessons, because we can draw beautiful pictures. I also like many other lessons here, such as cooking, STEM, science and so on. I feel happy to be here.

Here is a good teacher in the South Hills Academy. Who is she? Guess! She is an English、Maths、History、Geography and Science teacher. WOW! So many subjects. She is very intelligent. So she can teach many subjects. And she is very patient. When I have some questions, she always teaches me. If I can’t understand., she will teach me again. She is the most patient teacher in my life. And she is kind too. I didn’t have tools in the first Maths class. She gave me the whiteboard、mark pens and anything else I need. What a kind teacher! She smiles in her class every day. She is funny. Now I can tell you who she is. She is Mrs. Oka. Guys, Do you want to be Mrs. Oka’s student？

My teacher here is Mrs. Oka. I think she is smart, funny and patient.
First, she is very smart. When I have questions, she always has the answers. She knows anything about homework. And she also has many smart students.
Next, she is funny. She always reads funny stories after school and makes us laugh. When I see her, she always smiles at me.
Finally, she is patient. When some students don’t know how to do their homework. She will teach them many times. When we speak loudly in class, she always reminds us to be quiet.
I like my teacher very much.

SHA里还有很多和Mrs. Oka一样充满智慧，关爱学生；耐心有的老师们。

我眼中的体育老师Mr. Chavez
My PE teacher in SHA is Mr. Chavez. He is tall. He has big eyes and a big mouth. He looks cool.
I like PE lessons here，because my PE teacher Mr. Chavez is very passionate、gentle and funny.
He is passionate. Everyone take part in the class activity. He encourages all of us to get involved in the games, so we enjoyed ourselves so much in sports.
He is gentle. He always speaks softly. And he teaches me the rules without getting angry. I hope all the boys can be a gentleman like him.
He is funny. He always plays games with us. The best lesson is about baseball! We learn a lot about baseball and we can play baseball now! We are very happy in PE class.

我最喜欢的老师是STEM课老师Mr. Reggie
Mr. Reggie teaches us STEM and Computer. He is tall. He has small eyes and a small nose. He is very smart, patient and gentle.
He is smart. He knows a lot about computer and robots. He is not only a teacher, but also an engineer. So he is also hardworking.
He is patient with us. If I don’t know how to do it., he always teaches me and speaks softly and gently. I learn a lot from him. I hope I can be a good engineer when I grow up.
I like Mr. Reggie and STEM!

Isabella五（3）班 王依宁分享了她一次难忘的经历。
I have an unforgettable experience in the Science class.
It’ s a Science class. Mrs. Maria asked me to stand up and read. I was very nervous, because I didn’t know some words. But I thought my classmates and teacher could help me, I stood up and tried to read. When I didn’t know how to read, they told me. When I finished reading, Viviana clapped her hands. Then other classmates clapped their hands, too. I am very moved. I am very thankful for Viviana. She is a kind girl！

我的美国好朋友Vivian
My best friend at South Hills Academy is Viviana. She is a nice girl. She is kind and beautiful. She lives in the US.
She is beautiful. Her hair is long and black. Her eyes are big. She always wears a red T-shirt and a purple skirt.
She is a hard-working girl. She listens to the teacher carefully in class. When Kiki and I can’t understand the questions, she always helps us. She is very kind. She always smiles to her friends.
I am happy to make friends with her.

我的美国好朋友 Hannah
Now, I’m in the US, the SHA. I have a new friend here. Her name is Hannah.
Hanna is Chinese girl. She came to the US four years ago. She can speak English very well. She is ten years old. She likes reading and singing.
She likes studying. She is good at English, Spanish and singing, too!
She is very kind. When Isabella and I can’t do the homework, she always helps us. When we don’t know how to do, she always teaches us.
Hannah is really a good girl.

我的美国好朋友Elaine
I have an American friend her. Her name is Elaine. Elaine is very helpful. When I don’t know how to do my homework, she always helps me. If I forget to bring something, she always lends hers to me.
Elaine is very clever. She always knows the answers to the questions. She has a quick wit.
Elaine is very hospitable. At first, I didn’t’ know where the classrooms are, she showed me around the school and led me to the playground, the Art room, the computer room.
Elaine is my good friend. I like her very much.
I have a good friend in the US. Her name is Yi Ling. She is 10 years old. When she was 9, she came to the US for study. Now she can speak English very well.
She is friendly. When the first time I came to this school, she told me how to do the homework. She always helps us, and we all like her. Sometime we don’t know what out teacher means, she will translate it to us.
Yi Ling is my best friend in the US.
